Video shows Cowboys’ Terrance Williams was inebriated prior to arrest

There are good optics. There are bad optics. There’s also video evidence showing something far beyond optics.

This is the case when it comes to Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Terrance Williams, who was arrested by Frisco police after allegedly crashing his car into a light pole last weekend.

A video of the incident has emerged. And, well, it’s certainly not good for Mr. Williams.

Faceplanting into the curb while on a bike and being pursued by the police probably isn’t good optics.

For his part, Williams initially claimed that he wasn’t the driver. Instead, it was “idiot” friend, Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Kendall Wright.

Williams has since released a statement.

Williams, 28, was a third-round pick of the Cowboys back in 2013. He tallied 53 receptions for 568 yards this past season and was expected to take on more of a role after Dallas released No. 1 receiver Dez Bryant.

It remains to be seen what impact this arrest will have on Williams’ future with the Cowboys. He just recently signed a four-year $17 million deal to say in Dallas back in March of 2017.
