Twitter reacts to Will Power winning Indy 500

Prevailing over the best racers in the world on one of the most recognizable tracks in the world, Will Power finally won his first Indy 500 on Sunday.

Apparently, it’s been one of his greatest dreams for a long, long time, too.

The race was fraught with peril, as multiple crashes (including a bitter end for Danica Patrick) and even a fire on Pit Lane took place during the 102nd running of the Indy 500.

In the end, Power prevailed over his peers, with Ed Carpenter, who had the lead for much of the race, coming in second, Scott Dixon coming in third, Alexander Rossi finishing in fourth place and Ryan Hunter-Reay rounding out the top five.

Not surprisingly, Power was overcome with emotion after it was all over.
