During the first quarter of Game 4 in the Western Conference Finals between the Houston Rockets and Golden State Warriors, James Harden uncharacteristically passed up a wide-open three.
Not only did he pass it up, but he had time to pass up the shot about a half-dozen times before passing the ball to a teammate. In the end, the Rockets couldn’t score on that possession.
Harden passed up wide-open 3. Rockets backed it out, ran clock down, missed another. Durant follows with back down in paint for easy 2. 16-7 team already up 2-1.

Here’s a look at the play.
Harden shook? 🤔 pic.twitter.com/O0bbFQOIuG

Being that Houston is down 2-1 in this series, and that the Rockets were getting torched at this point in the game, it was very strange that Harden didn’t shoot this shot.
Not surprisingly, Twitter had some things to say about it all.
That Harden pass is going to be hard for him to shake. Yikes.
