Raiders WR Amari Cooper leaves OTAs early with hamstring injury

Amari Cooper

Oakland Raiders receiver Amari Cooper left Tuesday OTAs early. Afterwards, coach Jon Gruden announced that the wide out was dealing with a hamstring issue.

When he was on the field, Cooper had seen some action in the slot, a change from where he’d previously played.

Cooper had a down year in 2017, catching only 48 passes for 680 yards, which were both well down from what he had done in his first two NFL seasons.

Given that, and how disappointing Oakland was in 2017, expect the Raiders to be extra cautious with Cooper, especially this early in the process.
