An MLB prospect in the Oakland Athletics organization has tested positive for PED use. John Shea of the San Francisco Chronicle reported on Thursday that Eric Marinez, a prospect for the Class A Stockton Ports, tested positive for clomiphene and will serve an 80-game suspension.

In 22 games for Stockton, Marinez hit .234/.289/.338. A season ago, he hit .278/.341/.359 in 114 games for the Beloit Snappers.
Marinez is second professional baseball player to test positive in 2018. Minnesota Twins shortstop Jorge Polanco is also serving an 80-game suspension after testing positive in March.
