LeBron James lost sleep over Game 2 loss to the Celtics

LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers find themselves in a must-win situation in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals at home Saturday against the Boston Celtics.

No team has ever come back from a 3-0 deficit to win an NBA Playoff series. James knows the history. And while the MVP candidate isn’t overly concerned about what’s transpired, he did have something interesting to say following Cleveland’s Game 2 loss.

“It’s never comfort. Playoffs is never comfort,” James said Saturday, via Joe Vardon of Cleveland.com. “There’s nothing about the playoffs that’s comfortable until you either win it all or you lose and go into the summer. So for me it’s always a day-to-day grind to figure out ways that you can be better.”

James also admitted that he does “lose sleep” after the type of loss Cleveland suffered in its last outing.

Throughout the first two games the conference finals, Cleveland has relied a great deal on James going isolation on offense. It’s led to teammate J.R. Smith noting that the team needs to go away from “hero ball.”

The good news here is that the next two games are in Cleveland. The team is 25-8 at home in the playoffs since James headed back to Ohio back in 2014-15.
