Jermaine Gresham surprised journalist by paying for her carry-on bag

Arizona Cardinals tight end Jermaine Gresham made the day of sports journalist, Delilah Cassidy, and she looks to be forever grateful.

Cassidy shared a string of tweets of how she was caught off guard by American Airlines policy to charge $50 for a carry-on bag. She was not able to pay for the bag at check-in as American only accepts credit cards and no cash. Unfortunately, her credit cards were on hold as Cassidy just arrived back to the United States from Europe.

Upset about possibly missing her flight, Cassidy was surprised when a nice fellow came up and paid the $50 with his credit card. This helpful guy was Gresham, who later posed for the above picture with Cassidy.

He also refused to take her $50 in cash she had and told her to just “pay it forward.”

How cool of a story is this? Thanks to Gresham, Cassidy made her flight. Sometimes just a small random act of kindness can make all the difference.
