With the United States rattled by yet another school shooting, we’re starting to hear stories about the victims at Santa Fe High School in Texas Friday morning.
As of right now, 10 people have been killed by a single shooting suspect. Scores of other children were also injured.
That includes Santa Fe star pitcher, sophomore Rome Shubert. The teenager was shot in the back of the head while in class Friday morning.
The good news here is that Shubert is back home and in stable condition.
I’m so greatful and blessed that god spared me life today. Today I was shot in the back of the head but i am completely okay and stable.

Despite being just a sophomore, the 6-foot Shubert has already committed to playing college ball for Houston.

He’s a Perfect Game Underclass All Americans/All Regions performer.
In the wake of tragedies such as the one we saw go down Friday in Texas, harrowing stories became front page news. Heroes are born. Stories are told. And then we move on to the next controversy.
For Shubert, the hope here is that his future is filled with the opportunity for success that 10 of his fellow classmates had snuffed out Friday morning.
