Pro Bowler Patrick Peterson might soon have another running partner in the Arizona Cardinals’ secondary.
According to NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport, Arizona is finalizing a trade with the Cleveland Browns for starting cornerback Jamar Taylor.
The #AZCardinals are finalizing a trade for #Browns starting CB Jamar Taylor, sources say. Corner is a big need for Arizona and Taylor fills it. Cleveland had shopped him during the draft and the two sides kept talking. The trade is expected to happen after 4 pm.

Taylor, 27, was an original second-round pick of the Miami Dolphins back in 2013. After three lackluster seasons in South Beach, the former Boise State star turned it up big time over the past two years in Cleveland. During that span, Taylor started a combined 29 games en route to recording 119 tackles, 23 passes defended and three interceptions.
As Rapoport notes, Taylor was made available during the 2018 NFL Draft. The two sides continued talking after Cleveland selected Ohio State cornerback Denzel Ward with the fourth overall pick.
Taylor should start opposite Peterson in the desert.
