Rafael Palmeiro still has pop in his bat. Playing for the independent Cleburne Railroaders, the 53-year-old former MLB slugger hit a home run on Monday.

The long ball is even more impressive when we consider what the opposing pitcher did against the surrounding hitters. Save for Palmeiro’s homer, the Railroaders were being dominated.

Palmeiro wanted people to know that his comeback was real. This swing of the bat will go a long way towards silencing any doubters.
