WATCH: Cowboys greats can’t keep fans from booing Roger Goodell

Roger Goodell Gareon Conley

The NFL and the Dallas Cowboys did everything possible to make sure local fans in the Big D did not boo commissioner Roger Goodell at the start of the annual draft Thursday evening. In fact, they attempted to quiet any booing by having Goodell hit the stage with some of the greatest players in Cowboys franchise history.

Well, that did not work out too swell.

As Goodell took to the stage to get the draft going, Cowboys fans could be heard booing him non-stop at AT&T Stadium Thursday evening.

The backdrop here is Goodell’s decision to suspend Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott six games last season. Obviously, there’s some remaining animosity relating to that. We can expect much more of the same as Round 1 plays out Thursday evening in Dallas.
