Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton lighted up smiles on the faces of 17 Special Olympics athletes when he treated them to a shopping spree.
According to TMZ Sports, Newton and kids hit up DICK’S Sporting Goods in Atlanta. Each athlete was given $200 to buy some sporting gear. Per the report, the kids’ ages ranged from five to 18.
And from what we can gather from the footage captured, Newton was shopping with a couple of Golden State Warriors fans. Just watch to see whether Stephen Curry’s jersey or Kevin Durant’s won out in one of the purchases.
What a fun time! It is not surprising that Newton and the group of kids garnered quite the crowd that watched them all shop till they dropped.
