Philadelphia 76ers rookie Ben Simmons is doing things we have not seen in the playoffs since Michael Jordan. That might seem like hyperbole. It isn’t. It’s straight fact. We can add the Miami Heat to the group of witnesses that will testify to this.
In the first quarter of Game 3 between Philadelphia and Miami in South Beach, Simmons showed us why he may already be one of the most dynamic distributors in the Association. Just check out this dime he threw to J.J. Redick for a wide-open three to give Philly a six-point lead in the first quarter.

We half expected the NBA Jam “on fire” graphic to display as Simmons sent that fastball to Redick for the trey.
It’s plays like this that have defined what has been one of the most entertaining rookie seasons in modern NBA history. Simmons simply continues to amaze.
