The Boston Marathon is taking place Monday, and conditions are just about the furthest thing from ideal. The wet, windy forecast even cancelled a baseball game between the Baltimore Orioles and Boston Red Sox one day in advance.
Nevertheless, the strong-willed runners are taking to the 26.2-mile course in hopes of securing a prestigious victory.
It’s fair to say that Twitter users are less enthused at the prospect of battling the elements. But that’s why we’re taking in the Marathon from our computers, not the Boston streets.

I could train for 10 years for the Boston Marathon and if I got this weather I’d just be like “nah no thanks.”

I don’t understand all the complaints with the weather during the Boston Marathon..
You need to be hydrated when you run, right?
Well there’s literally water falling from the sky.

Running a marathon generally seems like the worst idea ever. But running one in the weather in Boston today seems extra outrageous.

I don't care if I trained 10 years for the Boston Marathon, no chance I'd run in that weather today.
Actually it could be 72 degrees and clear and I wouldn't run either, who am I kidding?
