As we were treated to over the weekend, Monday night’s National Championship Game between Michigan and Villanova featured what can only be described as a car horn buzzer.
It’s really an annoying sound to hear constantly, and we’re willing to bet people everywhere stopped what they were doing to look outside and figure out what all the fuss is about. Yeah, that’s not outside. That’s coming out of your television.
Twitter users everywhere chimed in about this awful crime against humanity.
If you have to use a car horn for a scorer’s table buzzer…maybe you should have the final four in an actual basketball arena, #NCAAChampionship.
Can’t imagine those expensive tickets 150 yards from the court. Do better, NCAA— Brad Rentfrow (@bradrentfrow) April 3, 2018
I wonder who thought "you know what we should do? we should change the shot clock buzzer to a 1930s car horn"

No one has taken a bigger L than whoever decided to use that awful car horn as a buzzer.

The car horn they’re using instead of an actual buzzer is driving me insane #NCAAChampionship

San Antonio’s great, but I will be just fine to leave the Alamodome’s import-car-horn buzzer behind when the tournament is done.

When you realize the car horn🔊 you hear is the actual buzzer for the #FinalFour… pic.twitter.com/lHUteVnYno

Our sentiments, exactly.
Though, at least one person was happy.
Tuned in late for the national championship. Thank god Costanza's scooter horn is still at the scorer's table. (H/T @TheSchmenk.) pic.twitter.com/Rv8Ij4NRQy
