On Wednesday night as the Oklahoma City Thunder hosted the Memphis Grizzlies, Thunder announcer Brian Davis said something he might want to take back. After watching Russell Westbrook turn a steal into points with a sweet assist, Davis said, “Westbrook is out of his cotton pickin’ mind.”

Now, that phrase isn’t exactly politically correct. So, it’s hardly surprising that this stirred up a hornet’s nest on Twitter.

There were plenty of other, spicier responses to Brian Davis using that phrase that are a bit too intense to feature here. But you get the point. It wasn’t exactly well received.
