On Day 3 of the NFL draft, franchise legends and popular figures step to the microphone to announce a team’s selection. But the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will have a unique way of delivering the picks to the podium.
Greg Auman of the Tampa Bay Times shared that an NFL release said the Bucs will use a parrot to transport the draft card for Rounds 4-7.
NFL announces that a parrot — yes, a parrot — will deliver Bucs’ third-day draft picks to an announcer on the pirate ship at Raymond James Stadium.

Although most casual draft viewers tend to not watch on Saturday, the Bucs are certain to grab attention on social media with the parrot. Plus, as long as Tampa doesn’t trade its fourth-round pick, the team will be on the clock with the second overall pick of Day 3.
As it stands, the Bucs have four selections on Saturday. The parrot should be a popular figure throughout the day.
But we have one important question: If the parrot flies away while carrying the card, does the pick still count?
