Chicago Cubs third baseman Kris Bryant took a pitch right to the head during Sunday’s game against the Colorado Rockies and he was evaluated for a concussion. Thankfully he passed the initial test but did suffer a cut over his left eye.
Bryant examined and has passed all tests. Cut over left eye as result of sunglasses but no sign of concussion.

Here’s a look at the scary moment, which clearly left Bryant a bit dazed.

Bryant had to be helped off the field, which is hardly surprising given the nature of this incident.
What is also not surprising is that, after Bryant was hit, both hitting coach Chili Davis and assistant hitting coach Andy Haines were ejected by home plate umpire Cory Blaser for their reactions in the dugout.

These are always very scary for the players involved, and we certainly wish Bryant nothing but the best.
