Kevin Chappell responds to frustrating first round at Masters with masterful tweet

Kevin Chappell

Kevin Chappell didn’t have a great first day at Augusta National to get his 2018 Masters tournament started. He finished with a five-over-par round of 77, which at the time put him in a tie for 74th place out of 87 golfers.

In response to this very frustrating opening round, Chappell utilized some humor on social media.

Hey, it could have been worse. He did finish with a birdie on 18, his second birdie of the day. All told, Chappell carded those two birdies, 10 pars, five bogies and one double bogey.

Yeah, it wasn’t his best day. But it could have been a lot worse. He could have done what Sergio Garcia did, and it doesn’t really get any worse than that (watch here, if you dare).
