The Indianapolis Colts made sure to get franchise quarterback Andrew Luck some help along the offensive line in the 2018 NFL Draft. They selected guards Quenton Nelson and Braden Smith with their first two picks. It’s a clear indication that Indianapolis is sold on Luck as a franchise quarterback after he missed all of last season with a shoulder injury.
Interestingly enough, Colts owner Jim Irsay just broke some rather surprising news on the Luck front in talking to reporters to wrap up the draft Saturday evening. Irsay noted that about a year ago — a short while after Luck’s injury became public record — a certain team called Indianapolis up about trading for the former No. 1 overall pick.

Indianapolis quickly laughed off the offer, indicating that he was not available.
Things seem to be progressing on the Luck’ injury front. Indy did not select a quarterback in the 2018 NFL Draft and are fully committed to him moving forward. It’s still interesting that the team did receiver at least one serious inquiry for the quarterback’s services.
