Former Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians to reportedly join CBS NFL coverage

Former Arizona Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians has been making his rounds in the media since retiring from coaching following last season. It’s clear that Arians has been eyeing a media job during this time.

So it shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise that Arians has reportedly agreed to join the CBS NFL crew as an in-game analyst. According to The Athletic’s Richard Deitsch, Arians will join the existing team of “play-by-play broadcaster Greg Gumbel and analyst Trent Green.”

This report comes on the same day that it looks like Dallas Cowboys tight end Jason Witten will give up his football cleats to join ESPN’s Monday Night Football crew (more on that here).

It’s just one of multiple changes to NFL broadcasting we’re going to see this upcoming season.

In the NFL as an assistant for the better part of the past three decades, Arians finally earned a full-time head coaching job with the Arizona Cardinals back in 2013. He would ultimately go on to lead the team to two playoff appearances in five seasons before retiring.
