Derrius Guice won’t dress ‘flashy’ due to criticism of his character

LSU running back Derrius Guice

The NFL Draft has apparently become nothing more than a dog and pony show. It’s now the equivalent of teams asking prospects to dress up and dance around like they’re contestants in the Westminster Dog Show.

Just ask former LSU standout and potential first-round Derrius Guice. Here, Guice explains how he plans on dressing for the draft Thursday night in Dallas to appease NFL teams.

The sad reality here is that Guice is viewed by NFL teams as immature because he actually has a personality. You know, he’s not a robot that spends 24 hours a day, seven days a week on actually preparing to play football.

The backdrop here obviously being what one NFL team might have asked Guice during the annual NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis earlier in the year (more on that here).

It really is all sorts of absurd. Guice can’t be who he wants to be because NFL teams view him a certain way. Here’s a guy that legitimately saved a women’s life after a car accident earlier in the year.

But yeah, let us worry more about whether he likes men or wants to dress to impress at the draft. Fun times.
