Turner announces “TeamCast” commentators for Final Four

TBS will carry the unbiased call of the men’s 2018 Final Four games, but TNT and truTV will offer homer versions of the national semifinals. Turner Sports has announced the broadcast team for each school.

For the matchup between Michigan and Loyola-Chicago, a former NFL player and a well-known NBA news-breaker highlight the teams.

Jay Feely will be an analyst for Michigan, which also has Matt Park and Dr. Sanjay Gupta. Park is the voice of women’s basketball at the school, while Feely and Gupta are both alums.

Loyola’s side includes Shams Charania — the preeminent reporter of The Vertical — as well as Jeff Hagedorn and Jerry Harkness, who was a member of the 1963 Loyola national championship team.

When Kansas and Villanova take the floor, a famous actor and two former NBA players will be involved.

Kansas’ contingent includes ex-center Scot Pollard and Rob Riggle with play-by-play man Dave Armstrong. Randy Foye headlines the Villanova group, along with Kacie McDonnell and Scott Graham.

The inevitable humor when is a casual observer tries to find the Jim Nantz-led telecast, lands on a TeamCast station and complains about the broadcast bias.

If you’re a fan of a specific program — especially a “yell-at-the-TV” supporter — it’s probably worth checking out the TeamCast call.

Be sure to avoid the opposite team, though.
