Report: Giants, Browns hold private workouts with Josh Rosen

Bills Josh Rosen

What the Cleveland Browns and New York Giants do at the top of the 2018 NFL Draft will impact how the remainder of the annual event plays out. This is already known. It’s also not a secret that both teams are targeting a quarterback with their picks.

With about five weeks left until the draft is held, both the Browns and Giants reportedly held a private workout with former UCLA quarterback Josh Rosen in Southern California on Tuesday.

Picking No. 1 overall, it’s pretty clear that Cleveland is going quarterback with that selection. Though, the team has been linked more to Baker Mayfield than Rosen recently. Picking second overall, the overriding theme in New Jersey is that the Giants will look for a long-term Eli Manning replacement in the draft.

Depending on who you ask, Rosen is either the top quarterback in the class or right behind USC’s Sam Darnold for that distinction. Both are expected to go within the top five picks of the 2018 NFL Draft. It’s in this that the Browns and Giants making sure to get a personal look at him makes a ton of sense.
