Report: ‘A few interested teams’ are pursuing Trevor Siemian trade

With Case Keenum on board, the Denver Broncos are looking to unload at least one of their current quarterbacks, Trevor Siemian. According to a report from Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, the market for Siemian includes “a few interested teams.”

On Tuesday, the Atlanta Falcons and New York Jets were listed as potential suitors. But with Teddy Bridgewater and Josh McCown now on board, New York seems less likely.

In Atlanta’s case, Siemian would obviously be acquired as a backup. If that’s his market, just about any team in the NFL could be interested in him.

Siemian has been Denver’s primary starter since the retirement of Peyton Manning after the 2015 season. In the subsequent two seasons, Siemian has completed 59.3 percent of his passes for 5,686 yards with 30 touchdowns, 24 interceptions, and a 79.9 passer rating.
