Mohamed Bamba to enter 2018 NBA Draft

Mo Bamba

Texas Longhorns freshman Mohamed Bamba, who wouldn’t discuss his future last week after his team was bounced by Nevada in the NCAA Tournament, will enter the 2018 NBA Draft.

Evan Daniels of 247Sports, citing a source on Tuesday, broke this news. Shortly afterward, Bamba made the announcement official.

The 6-foot-11 big man is coming off a tremendous freshman campaign at Texas in which he averaged 12.9 points, 10.5 rebounds and 3.7 blocks per game. He had a double-double for the Longhorns in their loss against Nevada last week, scoring 14 points, bringing down 13 rebounds and blocking three shots.

It’s highly likely that Bamba will be selected in the top five this upcoming summer during the NBA draft. He was recently ranked No. 4 in 247Sports’ Big Board and has tremendous athletic abilities to go along with a burgeoning skill game.
