Jarvis Landry not worried about joining the winless Browns

New Cleveland Browns wide receiver Jarvis Landry has a fresh start in his career. The Pro Bowler was traded by the Miami Dolphins to Cleveland late last week after the two sides failed to reach a long-term deal.

In Landry’s four seasons with the Dolphins, they made the playoffs just once and failed to finish over .500 three times. Though, that’s nowhere near to the level of ineptitude his new Browns team has seen recently. Cleveland is coming off just the second winless 16-game season in NFL history and has won one game over the past two seasons.

Apparently, this really isn’t much of an issue for Landry.

That’s a refreshing outlook on the situation. Given that Landry had no real choice in where he was traded, some might thing he’d be unhappy about joining the Browns. That’s obviously not the case.

Despite Cleveland’s lack of recent success, the team has done well to add talent to its roster this offseason. That includes the addition of Landry as well as Pro Bowl quarterback Tyrod Taylor.

Over the course of his first four NFL seasons, Landry put up a league record 400 receptions for the Dolphins. He’s going to be a key cog in Cleveland’s rebuild. And it seems like he’s more than fine with that.
