Ezekiel Elliott: ‘Much love and thanks’ to Jerry Jones for standing behind him

Ezekiel Elliott has had no stronger ally in his recent time of troubles than Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, who has continually supported his young running back.

In fact, Jones ended up paying back some significant funds to his fellow NFL owners for his role in facilitating the legal battle between Elliott and the league concerning his suspension last year.

On Thursday, Elliott, who has been very inactive on social media, took the time to thank Jones for continually having his back.

The best way Elliott can thank Jones, obviously, is by making sure the past stays in the past and that he puts his best foot forward. So far the young running back has stayed out of trouble and out of the spotlight this offseason. And where he’s concerned, no news is great news.

One of the most talented running backs in the NFL, Elliott is a centerpiece for Dallas’ offense. He has already totaled 3,246 yards and 25 touchdowns in his first 25 games, which is outstanding production. Provided he stays on the good path off the field and stays healthy on it, he has a tremendously bright future in this league.
