Dez Bryant unloads on Twitter about reactions to social media post

On Tuesday, Dallas Cowboys receiver Dez Bryant posted a picture to his Instagram account that had fans buzzing in a negative way.

Here’s the picture in question, showing Bryant from the back, with his head down, while wearing his Dallas Cowboys jersey.

Now, there has been a ton of stuff written recently about how Dez Bryant could be on the way out in Dallas due to the $16.5 million cap hit he’s going to cost on his current contract. Stephen Jones hasn’t been helpful in this regard, even going so far as to comment recently that the Bryant decision is akin to the Big Three of Troy Aikman, Michael Irvin and Emmitt Smith leaving the team when their time was up.

So, it’s hardly surprising that fans saw this picture and assumed the worst.

However, not long after all that, Bryant took to his Twitter account, clearly upset by the comments he was receiving about this picture.

“WTF are wrong with you people? I posted a f****** picture… s*** starting to piss me off now.. it’s me in a Dallas Cowboys uniform..where I belong… get a life please lol,” Bryant wrote on his Twitter account.

Apparently, it wasn’t just people on social media reaching out to Bryant about this picture, either.

Clearly, Bryant does “give a damn” about this, because he’s talking about it. And it’s not hard to see why. He’s been one of the most popular and most productive stars in Dallas for years, even if his stats have been way down due to injuries recently. He’s also a very emotional person, and it must be tough for him to be reading about how the Cowboys could be ready to move on.

It’s going to be interesting to see how things shake out in the coming weeks. Dallas is in a tough cap situation, and Bryant’s production doesn’t warrant the money he’s due to earn. Likely, he’ll sign a team-friendly contract extension, but anything can happen.
