Chris Long will reportedly return to the Eagles next season

Veteran defensive end Chris Long is set to receive a raise to $4 million next season for the Philadelphia Eagles. Despite this, Long had not committed to returning for an 11th NFL season. Until now.

According to this report from Barstool Sports’ Pardon My Take, Long has decided to accept the Eagles’ offer and will return to the defending champs next season.

Long, 32, recorded 28 tackles and five sacks in a part-time role for the Eagles last season. His return adds even more talent to a defensive line that now rivals the Vikings for the best in the NFL.

Earlier in the offseason, Philadelphia acquired three-time Pro Bowler Michael Bennett from the Seattle Seahawks in a trade. The team also boasts young pass rusher Derek Barnett as well as All-Pro caliber performers Brandon Graham and Timmy Jernigan along the defensive line.
