Browns reportedly trade former first-round pick Danny Shelton to the Patriots

For the fourth time in less than 24 hours the Cleveland Browns and new GM John Dorsey have reportedly made a trade. According to multiple media reports, Cleveland has sent 2015 first-round pick Danny Shelton to the New England Patriots.

The massive 343-pound defensvie tackle never really panned out in his three seasons with the Browns. Though, Shelton did start 44 of a possible 48 games during that span.

It’s expected that Shelton will act as a situational defensive tackle for the Patriots, primarily on rushing downs. Fellow defensvie tackle Ricky-Jean Francois is currently set to become a free agent. New England also released Alan Branch earlier in the week. Needless to say, defensive line was a need here.
