So, whether due to a scheduling faux pas or a bored intern, or something more nefarious, the Carolina Panthers had their fans in a tizzy on Twitter Wednesday.
It all started when the team put out tweet about Julius Peppers.

Now, the rumor is that Peppers is “leaning towards returning” to the Panthers in 2018. He’s 38 years old but racked up 11 sacks last season, showing he still has plenty left in the tank. Because of the tweet above, fans got very excited that the rumor was coming true.
