Texas football Twitter account suspended before NSD

Malik Jefferson

National signing day is Wednesday, and college football fans will be flocking to their favorite school’s social media account to see the program officially announce the addition of a new player. But Texas might need some help returning to Twitter.

Dylan Buckingham of KFOR pointed out the team’s official Twitter account has been temporarily suspended.

When manually typing in the @TexasFootball handle, an “Account suspended” message immediately appears.

It’s an inconvenient time for the Longhorns, who are preparing to celebrate one of the nation’s best recruiting classes. The haul is currently No. 3 in the 247Sports composite rankings, so NSD will be a encouraging, hopeful time for fans.

Unfortunately for the program, it might be limited in its ability to celebrate through one social media vessel.

But this matter will eventually be resolved, and Texas finally will be back.

On social media.
