Steve Kerr blames new iPhone X on James Harden tweet: ‘Thought it was a direct message’

Steve Kerr made headlines for a tweet he sent out criticizing the NBA and its officials about a James Harden step-back three he seemed to think was a travel.

To be fair, it’s easy to understand why an old-school guy like Kerr might be frustrated by the Association’s lack of focus when it comes to questionable traveling calls. We’ve seen some egregious mistakes on this front before, and while Harden’s move wasn’t one of those it definitely was questionable.

When asked about the tweet on Friday, Kerr blamed his tweet on his new iPhone X, saying he thought it was a direct message.

We’re still not sure to whom Kerr was trying to send a direct message (a random friend, he said), but blaming technology is a pretty solid excuse.
