Sam McGuffie shares video of entering Opening Ceremony

Once a prized running back recruit, Sam McGuffie is now a member of the United States bobsled team at the Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang.

Though NBC will show the opening ceremony Friday night in prime time, McGuffie and Team USA have already participated in the celebratory beginning of the 2018 Games.

He shared a video of the team entering the stadium while chanting “U-S-A,” calling it “the coolest thing I’ve ever done”.

McGuffie will represent the United States in the two- and four-man bobsled events, serving as the brakeman.

As a high school recruit, McGuffie became a viral sensation because of his ability to hurdle defenders, flip over people and, of course, plenty of touchdowns. He eventually played college football at Michigan and Rice.

But for McGuffie, that part of his past doesn’t compare to wearing the red, white and blue at the Olympics.
