Philadelphia schools will be closed on Thursday for Eagles’ Super Bowl parade

If you’re a parent in Philadelphia and were thinking about pulling your kid out of school to see the Philadelphia Eagles’ Super Bowl parade, there’s no need. The School District of Philadelphia has your back.

Via its official Twitter feed, the district announced that on Thursday, the schools administrative offices will be closed.

It’s hard to argue with this one.

While the Eagles may win other Super Bowls, this will always be the first one. First championships (or at least first championships after an extended time) always yield big crowds. As such, many of these students and likely teachers would likely have taken a sick day on Thursday anyway.

Certainly, the Super Bowl win was a historic event for the city and team. With this announcement, we hope that even more kids are drawn out to celebrate the great moment.
