Jets LB Dylan Donahue arrested for DWI after going wrong way through Lincoln Tunnel

Jets

Dylan Donahue, a fifth-round pick by the New York Jets out of West Georgia last year, was charged with DWI and reckless driving after driving the wrong way through the Lincoln Tunnel and crashing his vehicle into a Jitney bus.

Larry Celona of the New York Post reported on this arrest. He notes, per the police report, that there were four people on the bus when Donahue crashed his Dodge Charger into it around 2 a.m.

Here’s a picture of the aftermath.

Sure looks like Donahue’s Charger took the brunt of the impact on this one.

Donahue reportedly swerved around traffic cones, into the center of the tunnel and then into westbound traffic. When police arrived on the scene, Donahue blew a 0.15 on a Breathalyzer test, which is roughly twice the legal limit in New York.

Last year as a rookie, Donahue played in four games for the Jets, tallying five tackles, before an injury landed him on injured reserve for the remainder of the season.
