Evan Turner crashes Draymond Green interview to get paid

Draymond Green

Professional athletes often have immense pride about where they attended college, and Evan Turner made sure Draymond Green paid up on their bets involving Ohio State and Michigan State.

After the Portland Trail Blazers edged the Golden State Warriors 123-117 on Wednesday, Turner crashed Green’s postgame interview and padded his pocket.

Anthony Slater of The Athletic shared the exchange.

Ohio State, one of the 2017-18 campaign’s breakout college basketball teams, ascended into the rankings following a 16-point victory over then-No. 1 MSU in early January.

To Green’s credit, he even acknowledged he owed Turner another $100 for Ohio State beating Michigan State in football, too. Green quickly questioned whether his Spartans had won — no, it was 48-3 — but realized they toppled rival Michigan instead.

Although MSU isn’t slated to face Ohio State again this season on the court, the programs could meet in the Big Ten Tournament.

And if that happens, Green — perhaps at the risk of going down another $100 — might literally want payback from Turner.
