Former Boston Celtics head coach Doc Rivers is taking time out of his busy schedule with the Los Angeles Clippers to attend an NBA game as a fan on Sunday. That comes with the Cleveland Cavaliers set to take on the Celtics in Boston as the home team retires Paul Pierce’s jersey.
So what are Rivers’ plans as he attends this game? According to the Clippers’ head coach himself, he’s going to “grab a beer, yell at the refs all game and boo LeBron.”
Doc Rivers says he's going to watch his first NBA game from the stands in 30 years today. "I'm gonna grab a beer, yell at the refs all game and boo LeBron."

To be honest, that sounds like a perfect Sunday in Boston.
Of course, the backdrop of this game includes LeBron James taking on his former teammate, Kyrie Irving, in Boston. That will lead to the entire arena booing King James. It also comes with the newest members of the Cavaliers making their debut with the team after three separate deals during Thursday’s NBA trade deadline.
All the while, Doc will be there to show that the Boston hasn’t left him after he left Boston so many moons ago.
