Milwaukee Brewers pitching prospect Bubba Derby has an all too personal story about October’s tragic Las Vegas shooting that saw 58 people killed. He was there. Derby was fortunate enough to escape unharmed. In 2018, he’ll honor those who weren’t.

Derby posted a photo of the glove he’ll wear during the 2018 season. Inscribed on the glove is the message “58 strong.”

Derby’s story of that fateful night (which  can be heard here) is certainly worth listening to. He says he plans on wearing this “58 strong” glove all season long to honor those who lost their lives in that awful shooting.
