Audio released of Rob Gronkowski’s 911 burglary call

Rob Gronkowski

New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski got home from his trip to Minneapolis for Super Bowl LII to find that his house had been robbed.

Police have since confirmed they are investigating, and while they declined to state exactly what’s been stolen WHDH in Boston reported that, “A police dispatch broadcast said there is a possibility that multiple safes and guns taken were taken from the home.”

Later on Tuesday, audio emerged of the call Gronkowski made to 911 when he arrived at his home to find it had been burglarized.

“Hello, this isn’t an emergency. This is just, uh, this is Rob Gronkowski calling and, while I was gone, my whole house got robbed while on my Super Bowl trip, and I just got back,” Gronkowski told the 911 operator.

Based on what Gronkowski said, it sure seems like he got cleaned out. That’s just awful, and we hope the robbers didn’t take anything precious and unique to the Patriots star.

This robbery is just an insult to injury after Gronkowsk and the Pats lost Super Bowl LII. Gronkowski is also mulling his future in the NFL. He wouldn’t deny he’s going to consider retirement after the game Sunday night.
