The NBA world was sent into a tizzy on Monday when Blake Griffin was traded from the Los Angeles Clippers the Detroit Pistons. A day after the deal, the Detroit Tigers extended a welcome to their city’s newest star.

One has to wonder if the Tigers are trying to woo Griffin. He’s got great athletic ability, and with his height he could be a great pitcher or first baseball. It may not be the worst idea for the rebuilding Detroit team.
In all seriousness, it’s always nice to see different teams from the same city come together. We’re sure Griffin and the Pistons appreciate the nice gesture.
