Wyoming product Josh Allen, a potential top pick in the upcoming 2018 NFL Draft, is expected to accept an invite to the Senior Bowl, ESPN’s Chris Mortensen reported Friday.

One of the premier pre-draft events, the Senior Bowl is a week-long event in which practices are just as important as the actual game itself. Allen will be competing against some of the top upperclassmen who are headed to the NFL, which will give coaches and scouts a better idea of his qualifications at the next level.

Playing at Wyoming, Allen’s level of competition was rarely top notch. Which is problematic after his 2017 campaign in which he really did not shine. Allen finished his final season for the Cowboys completing just 56.3 percent of his passes for 1,812 yards with 16 touchdowns and six interceptions.

It’s been reported that the Cleveland Browns are seriously hot on Allen right now and could take him at the top of the draft. He’ll be on the same field as Heisman winner Baker Mayfield at the Senior Bowl, along with Mason Rudolph, Luke Falk and others.
