Dalvin Cook provides postive update on his recovery from ACL injury

Minnesota Vikings running back Dalvin Cook against the Seattle Seahawks in NFL preseason Week 2

Minnesota Vikings running back Dalvin Cook is on the road to recovery, coming back from the torn ACL he suffered early in the season. ESPN’s Kevin Seifert passed along information from Cook on Monday, noting the running back has resumed jogging but that he still isn’t sure when he’ll be ready for football activities.

Previously, Cook had said he’s aiming for an Adrian Peterson-esque recovery from the injury that derailed his rookie campaign.

In his first season as a professional, Cook had done some amazing things for Minnesota prior to his injury. Appearing in four games, he racked up 444 yards from scrimmage, averaging 4.8 yards on the ground and scoring two touchdowns.

No doubt, Cook will be a big part of what Minnesota does next year. The thing nobody really knows at this point is which quarterback he’ll be playing with. As we delved into following the team’s devastating loss in the NFC Championship Game Sunday, all three quarterbacks on the roster — Case Keenum, Sam Bradford and Teddy Bridgewater — are free agents come March.
