WATCH: Kevin Durant, DeMarcus Cousins both tossed

Kevin Durant

It was a testy affair between between the Golden State Warriors and New Orleans Pelicans at the Smoothie King Center on Monday night. Both Kevin Durant and Draymond Green of the Warriors picked up technicals in the first half with DeMarcus Cousins picking up one of his own in the third quarter.

Then, with Golden State having opened up a double-digit lead later in the fourth quarter after trailing by 20 at the half, Durant and Cousins went at one another.

It didn’t take much time for both to be tossed by the officials on the court. Here’s the exchange.

As you can see both players continued to go at it for some time before eventually leaving the court.

More so than the outcome of a game Golden State won relatively easily, this could have ramifications down the road.

Cousins’ second technical was his seventh of the season, meaning he’s well on pace to cross the threshold for suspension. And for Durant, he’s now picked up enough to also be on pace to cross the limit needed to be suspended.
