So, if the coin flip is any indication about how the Cotton Bowl between USC and Ohio State is going to go Friday night, we better brace for a snoozer.
The woman who “flipped” the coin to decide which team would kick off and which would receive couldn’t get the coin to rotate. It simply flew through the air like a miniature flying saucer. Yet somehow, the officials let it count, and USC took over possession to start the game.
How does this coin toss count?!
It didn’t even flip! pic.twitter.com/ZRhezNsyIU

What the hell were they thinking? this is the worst coin toss in coin toss history. pic.twitter.com/VEQA3dEPrU

That’s not a great look. Hopefully the game ends up being slightly more exciting, for all our sakes.
It worked out pretty well for the Buckeyes, who forced a fumble on USC’s opening drive and capped it off with a J.T. Barrett touchdown to go up 7-0 early.
