Warriors provide injury update on Stephen Curry

Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry has been out of action for more than two weeks with an ankle sprain. On Tuesday, the team provided an update on Curry’s status.

While a return date is still not set, the update gave us some insight as to when one might be. He’ll be re-evaluated in a week “with the anticipation of having more clarity at that time on a potential return to game action plan.”

Curry was hurt late in the team’s win over the New Orleans Pelicans on December 4.

The positive news for the Warriors is that the team has not suffered in his absence. Golden State has won each of the five games played without Curry, and nine overall.

The two-time MVP was averaging 26.3 points per game at the time of his injury, while shooting at 47.3% from the field, 38.1% on threes, and 93.3% from the line.
