Vernon Shazier — father of Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Ryan Shazier and Miami Dolphins Team Chaplain — has spoken about his son’s injury on Twitter.

Shazier was carted off of the field in Monday night’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals with a spinal cord injury to his back. He has also taken to Twitter since, thanking everyone for the support.
The injury certainly cast a dark cloud over Monday’s game. In the days coming out of it, it’s promising to see both Shazier and his father finding ways to remain positive.
