Rudy Gobert has PCL strain, bone bruise, will be re-evaluated in two weeks

The Utah Jazz watched center Rudy Gobert go down hard early in Friday’s night game against the Boston Celtics, and they now know the extent of his injury.

Per Tim Bontemps of The Washington Post, Gobert has a Grade 1 PCL strain in his left knee, as well as a bone bruise. He’ll be re-evaluated in two weeks following the second lower-body injury to the big man in the past month and a half.

This is pretty good news in hindsight, because it didn’t look good at all when Gobert first fell to the ground Friday night. He stayed on the court for a while, finally getting up with the help of teammates before finally putting just a bit of weight on his affected knee.

In 18 games this year, Gobert has averaged 11.6 points, 9.6 rebounds and 2.3 blocks per game.
