Los Angeles Lakers center Brook Lopez had an MRI done on his injured ankle Tuesday, which confirmed a “moderate sprain” that will keep him out at least three weeks.

Earlier in the day, it was rumored that Lopez could miss a few weeks due to the fact he has undergone surgeries on that same right foot in the past.

Lopez injured the ankle during Monday night’s game against the Golden State Warriors. The 29-year-old big man has played in 28 games for the Lakers this year, averaging over 22 minutes, 12.8 points, 4.3 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.6 blocks per game.
